— Trusted, local care for missing teeth
Calm, dental implant care, close to home, with no pressure to decide on the day.

The Kurmond Dentist is a general dental practice on Bells Line of Road, with roots that began at a small clinic in Pitt Town. We’ve cared for Hawkesbury families for years, and we bring that same calm, patient approach to implant care, taking the time to explain your options clearly.
Our dentists hold advanced training in implant dentistry and a genuine interest in restoring smiles. As an ADA member practice using HICAPS for all major private health funds, the care you receive meets the standards you’d expect, delivered by people who live and work in your community.
— Missing a tooth?
You have more options than you may think.
Losing a tooth, to decay, a knock, gum disease or an old extraction that was never replaced, affects more than your smile. You might find it harder to chew on one side, notice a change in your speech, or feel your remaining teeth drifting into the gap. There are generally three paths, and we’ll talk you through all three honestly.

— What are dental implants?
A new root, and a tooth that looks, feels and works like the real thing.
A dental implant is a small titanium post that replaces the root of a missing tooth. It’s placed into the jawbone, where it bonds with the bone over a few months to form a stable foundation. A custom-made crown, colour-matched to your natural teeth, is then attached on top.
Because the implant integrates with your own bone, it also helps preserve the jaw and keeps your face looking full, something a gap or a plate alone can’t do.
Your first consultation
We start with a thorough examination and scans to check the health of your gums and the amount of bone available. We’ll explain whether an implant is suitable, walk through the timeline, and answer every question, unhurried, and in plain language.
Placing your implant
The implant post is placed during a gentle procedure under local anaesthetic. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable it is, and how little it disrupts their day. The implant then heals quietly over the following months as it bonds with the bone.
Your new tooth
Once healing is complete, we attach your custom crown (or bridge). You leave with a tooth that blends seamlessly with your smile, and a plan to keep it healthy for the long term.
